The Harry Potter film series made Leavesden its home for more than ten years. As the books were still being released while the films were being made, the production crew saved many of the iconic sets, props and costumes that were created especially for the films – just in case they were ever needed later on in the series.
The Making of Harry Potter is an experience of a lifetime with a chance to walk through the sets, props, costumes and all the special and visual effects teams used to create the magic seen in the movies.
See the iconic sets of The Great Hall, The Forbidden Forest, Platform 9 3/4 and Diagon Alley!
At less than 10 miles from Harry Potter Studio Tour, St Albans is the ideal base for a magical weekend. Driving will take about 20 minutes (traffic depending), or else leave the car behind, using the Abbey Flyer train from St Albans Abbey train station and then a bus from Watford Junction to the studios.
